The Charities Regulatory Authority (‘Charities Regulator’) has appointed inspectors to carry out a statutory investigation into North Inner City Homeless CLG T/A Inner City Helping Homeless (Registered Charity Number 20101848).
A serious concern was raised with the Charities Regulator in relation to Inner City Helping Homeless in late July 2021. The concern was brought to the attention of the Charity which duly engaged with the Charities Regulator. However, during that engagement further governance related concerns were identified. The Charities Regulator’s inquiries process in relation to Inner City Helping Homeless continued, notwithstanding the appointment of a provisional liquidator to the Charity on 7 October 2021. That process has led to the appointment of inspectors to investigate the affairs of Inner City Helping Homeless and to prepare a report on their investigation and findings.
